The Applied Neuroscience Society of Australasia hosts a sub-group of professional who work together to advance their understanding of Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG) for clinical and peak performance applications. We are affectionately known as QClub.

QClub 2018 is now ready to launch. Once our cohort has been established, we will work together to determine our goals for the year.  Some ideas have already been mooted and are inclusive of introductory and advanced learning opportunities:

- support a cohort working toward certification;

- encourage engagement with the QEEG literature;

- education and support toward publishing your own case studies;

- that there should also be regular case study work so that everyone can advance their confidence with QEEG; &

- that we have webinars with invited mentors.

Most importantly, this is an opportunity to collaborate and advance applied neuroscience in Australia.

In 2016, 24 QClub participants signed up to pursue QEEG Board Certification by enrolling in a didactic course, completing mentoring and case study presentations, and preparing for the QBoard exam. Sixteen candidates recently completed the exam and we are proud to announce that Australia has its first cohort of 11 QEEG Diplomates and 3 QEEG Technologists. In 2017, another of our members achieved QEEG Diplomate status and two more became QEEG Technologists.

You can pursue QEEG Certification independently. Access full information about the QEEG Certification process from http://qeegcertificationboard.org/.

If you would like to join a QEEG peer support network, please register here to join QClub 2018. Your registration fee of $100 will be managed by ANSA and will cover the core costs associated with running meetings - catering, guest mentor, technology access. We aim to make QClub activities accessible from your home computer supplemented with opportunities to gather in local communities where possible.  (From time to time, we may arrange additional workshops or seminars that may attract additional fees, e.g., the ANSA Conference and Workshops 2018 with registration available from 1 January - here.)

I look forward to working with you. Email me with your specific needs of QClub for 2018 - michelle@msmh.com.au
